Blackberry Pie
3 cups fresh blackberries 1 cup sugar 2 tablespoons flour 2 tablespoons lemong juice 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon butter
Combine berries, sugar, flour, lemon juice and salt. Line pie plate with pastry, add filling, dot with butter and cover with top crust. Bake in very hot oven ( 450 deg.F ) for 10 minutes, reduce heat to ( 350 deg.F ) and bake for 25- 30 minutes longer. Makes 1 - 9 inch pie. Submitted by Butch Heisler, Sept 2, 2000
