Pierogies
Ingredients: 6 cups flour 1 1/2 cup of warm water 1/2 to 3/4 cup of Mazola oil 2 eggs
Mix liquid ingredients, then add to the flour, mix and knead. Let dough rest half hour. Roll out dough thinly, then cut with large glass to make rounds, fill rounds with about 1-2 tbsp. of mashed potatoes and old cheddar cheese mixture. Fold in half and crimp tightly, alittle water on edges will help it to seal. Place in boiling water and oil, cook until they float. Serve with sour cream on top. Another version is to fry them, after they have been boiled, with bacon and onions.
